  My madly in love friend and what it teaches us about Jehovah's Witnesses

  i have a friend (non-jw) who's fallen for a girl who's no good.

  she's very pretty, but has been coddled since she was an infant.

  the girl is 25 years old and her mother still does all of her laundry, pays for her credit card, and comes over to clean her apartment periodically.

  What has his being a JW got to do with anything? This could be any dumb guy. The attempted comparison of this guy's infatuation with this girl to JW's in general is pretty ridiculous.

  They don't call it the Borg for nothing. You give up your identify for the collective unity (conformity) in order to preach the good news of the kingdom (selling magazines on Saturday morning). JW's are worker bees for the queen bee (GB).

  Has Leolaia moved to Oxford, England ?

  can't help being impressed by similar profiles of our leolaia and that young british student, gail trimble, who won the university challenge on bbc 4: they both are linguistic scholars in latin and greek and, yes, they even look alike, imo.

  Very nice photos Leolaia. You and Ms Trimble could definitely be mistaken for sisters. Same hairstyles and similar facial features. Both have that wholesome, attractive, librarian look (that many bad boys find irresistible lol).

  my brother whom i thought would never ask questions has recently begun to ask questions about the society's history, doctrines, and practices, like i just believe would never have happened.

  i am excited beyond words.

  now for my request, if you can help me out, please.. can someone tell me where in the society's publications (of any kind, whether it be books, magazine, videos, etc.

  I don't recall ever reading anything to the effect that the Writing Department took over from the GB. It's more a case that the GB (being modern day Pharisees) kowtow to the legal department in everything these days.

  i used to pump myself up by listening to ll cool j's "mama said knock you out".

  that probably seems pretty strange, considering how rap music is frowned on by the borg.

  the new watchtower asks the question: "when was satan cast out of heaven?

  - rev 12:1-9".

  and the answer it gives is: "so, then, the bible does not reveal the exact time when satan and his demons were expelled from heaven.

  Yes, the imprisonment of a few religious fanatics with grandiosely large egos, like Joseph Rutherford, in 1918, is absolute proof that Satan was ousted in 1914 and persecuted the true church. For someone so important and righteous as Joseph Rutherford to be imprisoned it must have been the debil. Rutherford of course wrote this 1925 Watchtower article.

  allow me to explain.. of course you are a normal person with warts and flaws.

  but you have a person (s) in your life, through work, church, or some other limited environment with whom you have complete control of their "diet" of information when it comes to you.

  to put it another way, they only know you from what you 'feed' them.

  A few short years after 2014 I'm suspecting. It should stay permanently below 1% p.a. from 2017 I'd say.
